The thumbnail image is from the Fuente del Ángel Caído, a sculpture of Lucifer that stands atop a fountain in El Retiro park in Madrid. It’s one of the only prominent public statures of the devil anywhere, which I appreciate in part because I joined The Satanic Temple in 2025 as part of my response to 47’s return to office; the devil is an ancient symbol of resistance to tyranny, and TST’s adherents are big fans of that.
